0 (0)

We are going to prepare a tuna stuffing with tomatoes and chard that is delicious, very easy to cook, and can be prepared very quickly.

This tuna filling can be used for a lot of different meals. It is a very versatile recipe that works very well in pies, tarts, vegetables, and even if we use it alone as a garnish.

Sometimes I have even mixed it with white rice to create a whole new dish.

Here are the ingredients needed for this easy recipe with tuna.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 red onion
  • 8 cherry tomatoes (or 1 round tomato)
  • 1 bundle of spinach (or 1/2 of chard)

Step by step preparation of tuna stuffing with chard and tomatoes

  1. Take half a red onion and cut it into very small squares.
  2. Then cut the cherry tomatoes in half.
  3. Lightly chop a handful of chard or spinach into medium pieces.
  4. Turn on the stove and put a frying pan on the fire with a drizzle of oil.
  5. First add the previously chopped onion and then add the cherry tomatoes. Let it cook for a few minutes.
  6. Add salt, oregano and a dash of white wine to enhance the flavors and let it reduce well so that the alcohol evaporates.
  7. Then add a can of tuna (it can be in loins or shredded).
  8. Finally add the chard and integrate all the ingredients well.
  9. Turn off the heat and let it rest for five minutes with the pan covered.

The filling can be eaten alone or also used for pies or empanadas.
